2NE1 to skip all year-end music award ceremonies; CL to collaborate with Diplo at SIA 2014
YG Entertainment has revealed in a statement that 2NE1 will not be attending any year-end music award ceremonies as a group.
In a statement to media on October 24th, YG Entertainment revealed that 2NE1 would not be attending music shows or award celebrations that are traditionally held at the end of the year. The company revealed, “2NE1 has decided not to attend any music award ceremonies at the end of this year.”
2NE1 has been the focus of media and fan scrutiny as of late, with Park Bom‘s drug incident, CL announcing her solo debut in the US with Diplo and Scooter Braun, and Minzy removing 2NE1 from her Instagram and Twitter for a brief moment.
However, leader CL will be joining hands with Diplo for a special performance at the Style Icon Awards (SIA) by CJ E&M. The Style Icon Awards is the only “style awards” in Asia, describing themselves as a global festival that brings fashion icons from around the world
